           Holistic Healing

Personal Profile

Holistic healthcare has been important to me since childhood.  As a young girl, I discovered my mind-body-spirit connection through my joy of movement.  During my undergraduate years, I actively began the life long process of working with myself and others in the process of Self Realization.  I received my B.S. and M.S. in Research in Exercise Physiology from Boston University Sargent College.  I then became a Research Associate in Cardiology through Tufts University School of Medicine where I published 27 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals.  I returned to graduate school and received my second M.S. in Physical Therapy from Boston University Sargent College.

During my training as a physical therapist, I was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy.  In this holistic mind-body-soul approach to healing, the patient actively participates in each treatment session.  Because of this patient participation, CranioSacral Therapy fosters self-empowerment and self-healing.  This resonated deeply with my goals and philosophy of healing.  I have continuously pursued holistic treatment approaches through continuing education.  I use my skills in CranioSacral Therapy /SomatoEmotional Release, Fascial Mobilization and Myofascial Release, Lymph Drainage Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing and Holistic Healing to treat people of all ages in diverse states of health and healing.

I have two case studies published in Working Wonders: Changing Lives with CranioSacral Therapy, edited by the Upledger Institute.  I also enjoy teaching meditation and leading retreats for people who are actively involved in their spiritual journey. Recently I created and, along with Amanda King, edited Experiencing the Power of Zero Balancing: Case Studies of Journeys to Health and Wholeness which is now in press.

I continue to be committed to my own personal journey through my ongoing practices of meditation, Yoga, physical fitness, nutrition and spiritual retreats.  I have been recognized by teachers, peers and clients for my treatment skills, interactive skills, commitment, compassion, gentleness, maturity and holistic treatment of individuals.
